[ She smiles and closes the door after him. She follows him, eager to see the pictures. ]

[He looked all around Selina's home and figured it would be bad to take off his shoes for the moment. He took a seat and his ears perked before he pulled out the album.]

Here! I tweaked them a little but they're high quality and photo paper. Here look! [He handed Selina the album. Inside wasn't just photos from mother's day. But Ritsuka had also taken some of his favorite photos of Selina and enhanced them. Making some black and white portraits, some sepia. Some were even candid photos made to look like she had modeled the photos.]

Do you like them? [His voice held a want... an eagerness. He wanted to please her, to make her happy. He wanted to see her smile.]

[ She sat down next to him and looked at each photo carefully. She felt immensely touched that this kid whom she hardly knew took such effort to cherish their relationship. She looked at him before she answered. ]

[He blushes and smiles, feeling warm inside as he just watches her look at the photos and his ears press against his head. When she said she loved them...]

I-I'm glad. It's yours, so I'm really happy to hear that, mom.

[His eyes widened and he blushed deeper. Crap! What did he just say. Feeling suddenly nervous he got up.]

[He stood with his back to Selina, unmoving. His face was deep red and his ears were pressed to the back of his head. His shoulders held the tension he tried not to show.]

[He blushed and swallowed thickly. Some part of him felt guilty though. What about his actual mom? He had only just seen her... but... he sighed.]

It uh... I'm glad you like the photos. It... I um... [He never had a mother where he could just make her happy by being. He wanted to never make Selina sad. In some way he wanted to make up for all he had done to his mother back home just as much as he wanted a mother who could and would just love him.]

If we go out for brunch again soon I'm sure I could make you more pictures to add to this one. There's still plenty of space.
