[He stood with his back to Selina, unmoving. His face was deep red and his ears were pressed to the back of his head. His shoulders held the tension he tried not to show.]

[ She feels very honored about that. ]

[He blushed and swallowed thickly. Some part of him felt guilty though. What about his actual mom? He had only just seen her... but... he sighed.]

I feel very honored, that you consider me like a mother to you.

[ She knows what it's like to have an abusive relationship with your parents. ]

Although, I may not be the best role model.

[He thought of lot of things he could say that. That he wasn't a good son what did that matter? But no. He turned to look at her, relaxing a little as he offered her a smile. He knew exactly what he felt on the matter about her.]

But you're the best for me and that's really all I care about.

[ She never thought having a kid in her life would be so fulfilling. She brought him into a hug. ]

It... [He was the best thing? Ritsuka didn't consider himself all that great.]

It uh... I'm glad you like the photos. It... I um... [He never had a mother where he could just make her happy by being. He wanted to never make Selina sad. In some way he wanted to make up for all he had done to his mother back home just as much as he wanted a mother who could and would just love him.]

If we go out for brunch again soon I'm sure I could make you more pictures to add to this one. There's still plenty of space.

We can do that now! [He lightly pushed her hand away, smiling as he just held it.] I always carry my camera on me.

Alright. [ She smiled and held out to Ritsuka's hand. ]

[He grabbed her hand and guided her over to the couch.]

I have to find the perfect angle and then set the timer. I want it to be perfect for you since it's going on your mantel.

[ She let him pull her. She couldn't help but smile. ]

You're in it so it's already perfect.

[That got him to blush and fumble with his camera before he set it on a near by dresser, zooming in just enough and taking a practice shot. When he saw how it came out on the lighting he adjusted it accordingly before he nodded his head.

Setting the timer, he hurried over to Selina and sat down next to her.]

Smile. [He said as he offered her a sincere one.]

[ She smiled as she wrapped an arm around Ritsuka and looked at the camera. ]

[There was a click and a flash and Ritsuka hurried over after a few seconds to see what was going on. He grinned as he brought the camera over to her and showed her the viewfinder.]

[ Selina looked down at the viewfinder and smiled. ]

I'll edit it tonight and get you the picture frame.

It.... makes you happy, right? [Because that's what he wants more than anything. To have the woman he considers to be his mother... to have his real mother happy. Even if he hated his real mother, even if he hated the things she did, he still adored her and loved her. He still wanted her happy and he wanted Selina happy too.]
